Welcome to the home page of the Neuromorphic Intelligence Laboratory of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia!

NI-Lab is a joint initiative by the Department of Biomedical, Metabolic and Neural Sciences and by the Department of Engineer “Enzo Ferrari” and is affiliated to the Center For Neuroscience and Neurotechnology.

In our group we investigate the mechanisms underlying the interactions between brain and environment.

Our aim is to reproduce in software and hardware the functions of human intelligence.

We collect data from biophotonics and neuroimaging recordings to develop computational models of neuronal activity.

The simulation of brain functions are then converted and implemented into neuromorphic devices.
